This glorious grass attracts birds to its seeds in the fall, and it food for grasshoppers and caterpillars.  Magnificent winter interest.  Great in a meadow or along a border, and along slopes to control erosion.

Height: 3-5 feet

Blooms: light brown with yellow stamens September through February

Conditions: well-drained soils in full sun
