Indian Grass is a warm-season grass with yellow stems and large seed heads.  It provides excellent year-round cover for birds and small animals.

With bluish-green blades and soft, golden seedheads, it adds elegance to a summer garden before turning hues of orange and purple in the fall.

Indian Grass is best planted en masse.  It's a perfect addition to a wildflower meadow as it likes to spread.

Indian Grass is a moth larval host, and birds eat the seeds.  Try pairing it with Big Bluestem, Goldenrod and Tall Tickseed.
