Light green blooms burst forth from this lovely sedge in early spring.

Similar to Pennsylvania Sedge, Appalachian Sedge has such fine foliage it often gives a weeping appearance.  It's also clump forming rather than spreading.

Appalachian Sedge is an ideal choice for dry, shady spots.   It can handle more sun with slightly more moisture.  Best to cut to the ground in late winter.
