American Snowbell is a small tree in the same family as Carolina Silverbell.

It features a wide, open crown and single trunk. Snowbell does not sucker from the roots.

Its bell-like flowers appear in spring in clusters and have a sweet fragrance that attracts bees and other pollinators.

Hairy fruits emerge after the flowers fade.

Try Snowbell in moist areas, as a screen or near a patio where its fragrance can be enjoyed.
