This hardy plant is at home in sunny, dry spots, even tolerating roadsides where salt-ish water may spray into its blooms.  It's often found at beaches and salt marshes, although it fares equally well inland.

Seaside Goldenrod attracts bees and butterflies as well as an array of specialized bees.

It has disc-like flowers that tend to be the largest of the Goldenrod bunch, and its rosettes are evergreen.  Makes a great garden plant.
